1. Pre-Approval

Before beginning to shop for your new home, you will want to be pre-approved for a home loan from a local mortgage lender. Make sure to interview several lenders.

2. Touring Homes

Once you have made a decision on your price range, it's time to shop around! An agent will be able to schedule private showings of homes on the market.

3. Make An Offer

Making an offer can be an exciting time! Look to your agent for help with making a fair offer and know that there are more terms to negotiate besides price.

4. Under Contract

After your offer is accepted by the seller, you are officially under contract to purchase the home! Now is the time to do your due diligence.

5. Home Inspection

The home inspection is a critical step for any home buyer. Make sure to use a licensed home inspector and discuss with your agent what you are looking for.

6. Appraisal And Closing

Your lender will order an appraisal of the property after inspection. If the appraiser determines it is worth what you are offering or more, you are all set to close!
